Last updated: 23 August 2026
Effective date: 23 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how SPORT SPIRIT S.R.L. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or “SPORT SPIRIT”), as the operator of the website [https://sportspirit.md/](https://sportspirit.md/) (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”), uses cookies and similar technologies when users access and use the online store.

This Policy applies to all users and visitors of the Website and should be read together with the Personal Data Processing Policy and the Terms and Conditions of the online store.

The use of cookies and similar technologies is carried out in accordance with Law No. 195/2024 on Personal Data Protection, applicable from 23 August 2026, as well as the applicable legislation governing electronic communications and other relevant legal acts.

## 1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files that may be stored on the computer, phone, tablet or other device used to access the Website. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, online identifiers, local storage and other technical mechanisms used for operation, analytics, measurement and marketing.

Cookies are not software programs and cannot, by themselves, run programs or transmit viruses.

## 2. Purposes of Using Cookies

Depending on the category and technology used, cookies and similar technologies may be used for:

· the technical operation and security of the Website;

· the operation of the shopping cart and checkout process;

· authentication and maintaining the user session;

· remembering preferences such as language or other settings;

· analysing the use of the Website and improving the user experience;

· measuring conversions and the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;

· remarketing, retargeting and advertising personalisation, to the extent permitted by law;

· preventing fraud and protecting information systems.

## 3. Categories of Cookies

The cookies used on the Website are grouped into the following categories:

### 3.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These are required for the technical operation of the Website or for providing functionality expressly requested by the user, such as the shopping cart, authentication, security and technical processing of orders. These cookies are not used for behavioural advertising and may be used without consent only to the extent that they genuinely meet the necessity criterion.

### 3.2. Preference Cookies

These cookies make it possible to remember certain choices, such as language or other settings. If they are not strictly necessary for the requested service, they are activated only after consent has been given.

### 3.3. Analytics/Statistical Cookies

These cookies make it possible to analyse how the Website is used, including pages visited, duration of the visit, source of access, interactions and technical performance. Optional analytics cookies are activated only after consent has been given.

### 3.4. Marketing/Advertising Cookies

These cookies are used for campaign measurement, conversion attribution, audience segmentation, remarketing/retargeting and, where applicable, displaying relevant advertisements. These cookies and pixels are activated only after the user has given consent.

SPORT SPIRIT will configure the mechanism so that tags requiring consent are not activated before the user makes a choice.

## 5. Consent and the Cookie Banner

When first accessing the Website, the user is presented with a mechanism for managing cookie preferences. This mechanism must clearly and comparably allow the user to:

· accept all optional cookies;

· reject all optional cookies;

· select cookie categories separately;

· subsequently change their choices using the “Cookie Settings” function.

Optional cookies and technologies requiring consent will not be activated before consent is given. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent the use of the basic functions of the online store.

Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. Refusing or withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it.

## 6. Record and Proof of Consent

SPORT SPIRIT may keep a technical record of the user’s choices for the purpose of demonstrating compliance with legal obligations. This record may include the date and time of the choice, categories accepted or rejected, the version of the banner/policy and a technical identifier, to the extent necessary and proportionate.

Consent to cookies is separate from consent to receive commercial communications by e-mail or SMS.

## 7. Withdrawal and Modification of Consent

The user may modify or withdraw consent to optional cookies at any time through the “Cookie Settings” function available on the Website.

After consent is withdrawn, the optional cookies and technologies for which consent has been withdrawn will no longer be activated and will no longer collect data going forward. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To the extent that certain cookies already stored on the device cannot be automatically deleted by the Website, the user may remove them through the browser settings.

## 8. Storage Duration

Cookies may be session cookies, in which case they are generally deleted when the browser is closed, or persistent cookies, in which case they remain stored for a specified period.

The specific duration of each cookie must be indicated in the cookie list available through the preference management mechanism. Durations may be changed by third-party providers, which is why the technical list must be checked and updated periodically.
