The Saucony Shadow Original is an iconic silhouette from the Saucony archives, first introduced in 1985 as a performance running shoe. Today, it retains the distinctive retro aesthetic of the original while combining comfortable cushioning with a supportive construction for everyday wear.

The layered upper combines breathable mesh and nylon with genuine suede overlays that enhance durability and highlight the model's distinctive geometry. A padded collar and tongue provide a comfortable feel around the foot, while the cushioned EVA sockliner adds extra comfort throughout the day.

The EVA foam midsole provides cushioning and support while helping absorb impact during walking. The [Ionic Cushioning System](/en/technology/saucony-technologies#ICS) delivers additional cushioning in the heel upon impact, while a TPU heel piece provides extra support.
